Abby was a real nice girl. She won Best in Sweepstakes at the Valley Forge Kennel Club in 1992. We didn't show her much, finished her title and that was about it other than Veterans classes on special occasions. She placed First in the Veteran Bitch Class at the ACC National Specialty in 2003.
She was co-owned with our good friend Gordon Hesse, with which there is a funny story about the day she finished. Gordon was handling her that day, and she was in season. The judge was a nice lady and was exchanging pleasantries with Gordon at which time he informed her that Abby was in season. The judge without thinking asked if she was going to be bred. Without missing a beat Gordon says "if she finishes today she is". The judge replied something along the line of she guesses she shouldn't have asked that.......Abby finished that day LOL. That was many many years ago but we still laugh about it today.
