Fisher is a 6 generation dog in the Irish's Clover Leaf Kennel breeding program. His breeders are Gary & Dorene Irish & Maggie Fisher.
There is quite a story about how Fisher came to be. His dam, Reed - HR U-CDX Am/Can Ch. Irish's Whispering Northwind UD SH CGC Can. CDX was going to be bred for her final litter by co-owner Maggie Fisher. We were all at a show in Lansing when Maggie told us she was taking Reed to a dog in Oklahoma to be bred. As Reeds breeders and co-owners Gary had the right of approval of any dogs Reed was bred to. So, Gary then told Maggie she wasn't going to Oklahoma but she was going to take her to Redlion Kennel and have her bred to Ch. Redlions Short Fuse (Musch). Maggie said she had never thought of him for Reed, but liked the idea. So she was bred to Musch. Long story short, as happens sometimes, the breeding didn't take. When the breeding was done for the second attempt, Reed delivered one puppy - Fisher.
A few highlights from his show days:
2006 - Winners Dog at the ACC National Specialty to finish his Champion Title (the second NSS WD for the Irish line) - Judge Ann Yuhasz.
2008 - Judges Award of Merit, ACC National Specialty - Judge Betsy Yates.
2009 - Best of Breed/Group 2, Detroit Kennel Club, ACC Supported Entry - Judge Jon Cole
2015 - Select Dog from Veteran 10 & over class, Owner Handler Group 1 at 11 yrs old, ACC Supported Entry - Judge Desmond Murphy.
2015 - Judges Award of Merit from Veteran 10 & over class, ACC National Specialty - Judge JoAnn Colvin.
