Haley finished her title pretty easily. She was Gary's baby, which makes this story so good. Haley was young, not quite a year old, and had only been in a couple of shows. It was deer hunting season so Gary as not going to any dog shows. Friend Dave Gean asked me if I wanted to go to a couple of shows with him being held in Lansing. Gary and I figured it would be good experience for her so she was entered. Wouldn't you know it, she picked up both her majors that weekend that was supposed to be 'just for experience'. Gary couldn't believe it. Of course he was happy for her, but disappointed he missed out on taking 'his baby' to her majors. Needless to say, I didn't handle Haley at any more shows after that.
