Kuma is co-owned with Bob & Kip Cosan. Kuma finished her Championship title at just under 2 yrs old by going Winners from the Open Bitch class at the 2003 American Chesapeake Club National Specialty where she defeated an entry of 80 other class bitches. Earlier that year she picked up another 5 pt major at the ACC Supported Entry in Kalamazoo, MI.
Contrary to the claim by Maggie Fisher at NorthWyn Chesapeakes, that her kennel produced Kuma; Kuma is a 6th generation breeding of Irish's Clover Leaf Kennel. Her litter was bred, whelped and raised here at Irish's Clover Leaf Kennel. Although Ms. Fisher is listed with us as one of Kuma's breeders, that is only due to the fact that she co-owned Kuma's mother (who we also produced) with us - Ms. Fisher and NorthWyn Chesapeakes had nothing to do with producing Kuma, the litter she came from, or any of the dogs in her pedigree.
